After installing this release of Alfresco you may encounter the following problem “fails with avm://sitestore has a duplicate root node entry”. In order to fix this problem you may do the following:

1) Stop your server 2) Edit tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco-global.properties and set: dir.root=C:/Alfresco/alf_data (Note this uses forward / ) index.recovery.mode=AUTO 3) Delete the indexes directory: C:\Alfresco\alf_data\lucene-indexes 4) Start your server

I have found an interesting solution for displaytag to support ajax in paging and sorting. It’s a google project http://code.google.com/p/displaytagajaxed/

Just try it in your application.

Another way to make your grids ajaxable in a simple way is using zapatec grid. It takes about 3-4 minutes to change your display tag with zapatec grid.

You can embed easily in your java application reports with pivot tables. The libray I use is the jpivot library and you can find it either in the mondrian web application (by www.pentaho.org), either in the JasperReports Server application.The main idea of these reports is that you have dimensions and measures and they are rendered in the screen using a jsp tag library.

Steps for publishing a cube in a mondrian report

Define the database connection information
Define your data. Data can be a database table, a view or a database function
Describe the cube to an XML file. Three main sections have to be filled. The data source, the dimensions and the measures
Write the jsp file that will contain the mdx query that will run the cube
Deploy the xml and jsp files to the application server
